Le Poole Notenmusli (glutenvrij) is my favorite cereal so far! It’s a perfect mix of cereals in a yummy muesli. Unfortunately, this may be tough to find back in the states. But I will try when I return! Until then, I will enjoy it here in Leiden.
MixWell’s Vafflor Mix was recommended to me by Paul at Zaailing. It’s delicious and only required water! We made pancakes that were more like crepes and just loved them! Mixwell is a Sweedish company, so be sure to use GoogleTranslate to read their site in English. I’ll be very sad when we move stateside again and can’t get this delicious mix. I’m going to lobby for this at Common Crow.

Udi’s Gluten Free Bakery has cracked the code on real bread. I don’t know how they’ve done it, but their GF multi-grain bread is worthy of dipping in extra-virgin olive oil. Both the GF multi-grain bread and GF white bread are perfect on sandwiches. They both rival any gluten-filled bread that you can find out there. I can’t say that about any other GF bread that I’ve ever tried.

GF cooking is very easy. GF baking is not quite as easy. My favorite GF cookbook is Rebecca Reilly’s Gluten-Free Baking. J.D.’s specialty has become the banana bread. And we also love the banana cinnamon muffins. Both are better than any gluten recipe you could possibly find. The GF all-purpose flour recipe in this cookbook has become our standard all-purpose flour. We make a big batch and it lasts for many recipes (we use it with any recipe that calls for all-purpose flour). It’s very simple, but somehow it works very well with many recipes. Just don’t forget to add xanthum gum!

My dad, pancake maker extraordinaire, just made Arrrowhead Mills pancakes. They were even more delish than Bob’s Red Mill! My family loved them, too. It might have been the bit of honey the recipe calls for in the mix. They’re also lighter and fluffier than most GF pancakes. They’re good for the whole family!

I stand corrected. Joan’s Bagels are truly the best GF bagels. They come frozen and not cooked all the way. So it’s necessary to cook them in the oven. The result? A yummy bagel that rivals any fresh bagel you can find. Simply delicious!
